The elementary curriculum emphasizes academic, social and communication skills and is designed to allow students to progress at a developmentally appropriate pace. Each elementary school has a media center staffed with a full-time media specialist, a counselor, and music and physical education classes taught by certified instructors.

Students identified as academically gifted are served through the district's SEARCH (Students Experiencing Appropriate Creative and Research Happenings) program.  Transitional classes are available for those who need an extra year to mature between kindergarten and first grade.

Moore Public Schools has 21 elementary schools, grades kindergarten through sixth. Approximately 11,000 students are enrolled in elementary schools.
