Our Partners-MPS Foundation

The Moore Public School Foundation for Academic Excellence was founded in 1995 to provide additional resources to the school system through private donations and gifts.

Some 25 members of the community serve on the Foundation's Board of Directors. They are responsible for day-to-day operation of the Foundation as well as planning events, conducting fund-raising and administering its Grants to Teacher program. Each year the Foundation awards grants to teachers for additional materials and supplies needed in the classroom. These teachers are honored at the Foundation's annual banquet. This year 16 teachers received grants.

In August 2001 the Foundation held its first golf tournament at the Moore Golf and Athletic Club. More than $9,500 was raised. The Foundation also has received several grants from the Oklahoma City Community Foundation and participates in an annual recognition of outstanding staff and students.

The foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization. The Board of Directors welcomes contributions and participation. For more information please go the Foundation's website at http://www.mooreschoolsfoundation.org/ or contact the Communications Department.
