Primary Grades

In the primary grades the foundation for art is laid through the sequential development of skills which address the cognitive, psychomotor, and effective aspects of at. Emphasis at this level is placed on the art process as students select and arrange art elements and materials. Instruction is organized around four major areas: art aesthetics, art history, art appreciation, and art production.

Intermediate Grades

In the intermediate grades, students will further develop the skills, understanding, and values that were introduced in the primary grades. Instruction will continue to be organized around four major areas: art aesthetics, art history, art appreciation, and art production.
